What this site is for
This is a patient decision guide to chin augmentation, published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It exists for the person deciding rather than the person studying: whether to have treatment at all, whether an implant or a filler is the better route, what recovery costs in time, what the risks are, and when the honest answer is that neither is right.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not name products or brands, quote prices or dosages, or promise a result. It does not present surgery as the answer to a request that has another explanation. Where the medical system behind chin surgery is already explained elsewhere in this cluster — the anatomy, the implant materials, the bone procedures — this site links to the authority page rather than repeating it.
How the content is reviewed
Tongchun Mao, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Aesthetic Surgery, is the responsible physician. Every guide is reviewed against his clinical judgement before publication and reviewed again on a twelve-month cycle. The medical team page lists his credentials and those of the other physicians who contribute.
Corrections
If you find something on this site that is unclear, out of date or wrong, the contact page explains how to tell us, and corrections are made to the page rather than to a footnote. This site is education, not medical advice, and it does not replace a consultation with a qualified clinician who has examined you.
